On the 17th September, 2013 The Private Sector came together and signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish the Zambia Private Sector Alliance (ZPSA). The ZPSA was launched by ZACCI president and Chairman of the ZPSA, Mr. Geoffrey Sakulanda at Taj Pamodzi Hotel through a press briefing. The members of the alliance includes: Zambia Chamber of commerce and industry (ZACCI), Chamber of Mines of Zambia, Biofuels Association of Zambia, Tourism Council of Zambia (TCZ), Zambia Association of Manufacturers, Zambia Federation of Employers and the Zambia National Farmers Union (ZNFU). Together, the parties entered into this memorandum of understanding to mutually enhance and professionalize the one voice proactive advocacy function and the public private dialogue on cross cutting issues and form the Zambian Private Sector Alliance (ZPSA). The alliance is currently working on the development of Zambia Private Sector Business Agenda.
