Zikomo Safari is a remote,comfortable bush camp that is located in the Nsefu sector of South Luangwa, Zambia, Africa. We have 9 chalets and a campground. Two of the chalets sleep up to 4 people and seven of the chalets sleep 2 persons. The camp itself is situated on the banks of the Luangwa River, fronted by a flood plain and nestled under a canopy of giant shade trees. We provide; accommodation, food, drink, laundry service, wifi, and safari activities (bush walks, game drives, night drives). We cater to both international and local tourists, singles and groups. We also cater to self-drive (4X4s) for camping or if they prefer the can book food and accommodation and doing their own self drives through South Luangwa National Park. Besides the incredible fauna, flora bird and wildlife, we have a swimming pool, hammocks, a gaming table, volleyball/bad mitten net, pool table, swings, gift shop, and an outdoor gym to entertain you. If you are lucky you could be here when Billy the Bull Elephant comes for a visit. Being wild, he keeps his own schedule. Our satellite internet lets you stay connected to family and friends, but you can also disconnect with technology and reconnect with nature. We have excellent chefs and provide 3 meals and snacks every day. Being an owner operated lodge we work with our staff to provide a safari experience that is safe as well as exciting, comfortable but with the feel of Africa, for every one of our guests. We have over 450 species of birds in South Luangwa. There are (of course);elephants, Cape buffalo, lions, leopards, hyenas, zebras, civets, giraffes, impala, puku, kudu, eland, crocs, hippos, and so much more to see in and around Zikomo Safari. Zikomo (which means thank you in the local dialect) is the product of an American family's dream of having a bush camp in Zambia. It took many years to accomplish and although there will always be more to do, we are delighted to welcome you to our home and hope it becomes one of yours.
