Shenton Safaris is an owner run company operating two safari camps known for their ideal location in the remoteness of the South Luangwa National Park in Zambia: KAINGO CAMP and MWAMBA BUSH CAMP. Both camps are exclusive and designed to bring you close to the wilderness and create a safari experience of a lifetime. Our trademark is our ingenious network of photographic hides. The hides offer thrilling opportunities for close-up encounters with hippos, elephants, big cats ambushing prey, stunning birds and other wildlife. The Hippo Hide in particular is world-renowned, and is frequently used by famous wildlife photographers and documentary film-makers. The Carmine Bee-Eater Hide, set on a boat securely anchored just metres from a colony of these magnificently coloured birds, is the only one of its kind in Africa. Visits to our hides are part of the three daily game viewing activities offered, alongside game drives and walking safaris.
